Welcome to my website. As an oboist who also plays other woodwinds I am involved in a variety of things as a professional musician here in the Los Angeles area. I am principal oboe of the Chamber Orchestra of the South Bay, Burbank Philharmonic, and the Long Beach Municipal Band, associate principal oboe in the Desert Symphony, and a long time member of the Long Beach Symphony. I played the English horn solos on major motion pictures “Up”, “Star Trek (2009)”, and “John Carter” but have also played saxes, clarinet, and flutes in those and many other movies in my studio musician career. I play for local Broadway show productions, jingles, video games, and have even played recorder twice with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. As a Professor of Oboe I teach at CSU Long beach and teach clarinet, oboe and saxophone at Whittier College. I offer private instruction online for oboe, saxophone, clarinet, and oboe reed-making. Now you can benefit from my extensive experience no matter where you are in the world.
Sweetening synth scores is one of my specialties. Playing all the parts in a woodwind section, except bassoon, is something you will hear me doing in my audio examples. Adding few live instruments can make all the difference to really help bring the score alive. I am equipped for home recording of any of my instruments. I use a CAD Audio M179 condenser mic with a Scarlett 2i2 USB interface and Reaper DAW software.
So, take a look at the list of organizations I play for, the wide variety of studio work I’ve done, my live performance experience, and listen to an example or two. Feel free to contact me. I would love the opportunity to contribute to your project.
